Precipitated Silica from Silkimya 

Precipitated silica is a key product in demand in various industries and sectors, such as tyres, rubber, shoe soles and technical articles. It is an extremely versatile material. It improves several tyre properties such as wear resistance, wet grip and fuel efficiency by reducing rolling resistance. It is also used as a reinforcement in rubber products and in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries because it is inert and non-toxic.

Silkimya's Altamira’s production site has an installed capacity to manufacture 12,000 metric tons per year of precipitated silica in its first phase, and up to 30,000 metric tons per year soon, when its second phase takes place.
