Application Specialist Justin Pflug will discuss how to address RTM bond failures.

H.M. Royal’s Justin Pflug, Application Specialist for Specialty Adhesives and Mold Release, will speak at the Michigan Rubber Group Technical Meeting in East Lansing, MI on November 1, 2017.

“Providing the proper rubber to metal adhesive solution is only half of the equation,” said Justin Pflug. “In order to provide complete service to our customers, we have to offer thorough training in the surface preparation and application techniques required when using Dow Automotive Specialty Adhesives.”

Justin Pflug and Dr. Roger Cassell, Development Manager for Dow Automotive Specialty Adhesives, North America, will discuss the reasons why rubber to metal bonds fail and how to prevent costly recurrences. They will also share valuable insight into how rubber to metal bond performance is evaluated by H.M. Royal, Inc. and Dow Automotive Specialty Adhesives Technical personnel.

“The technical resources of Roger Cassell and Dow’s Specialty Adhesives group combined with Justin Pflug’s ability to perform individualized testing and support to customers allows the Dow/H.M. Royal team to offer the highest level of rubber to metal bonding support in the industry,” said Joe Royal, President of H.M. Royal, Incorporated.

The Michigan Rubber Group is committed to serving the rubber industry, and has over 100 members from the United States and Canada. Despite its small size, it is widely recognized as one of the leading rubber groups.
