H.M. Royal, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Agent in our Buena Park, CA office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for placing, revising and managing all orders with suppliers from initiation through delivery.
  • Responsible for purchasing inventory for warehouse, following up with shipments, and ensuring correct cost of material and freight.
  • Ensures all necessary documentation is received when establishing new supplier contracts and for all new products.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring all product import regulations and certifications are complete.
  • Responsible for costing of products, reviews price changes, adjusts costing, and sends out necessary notifications.
  • Maintains files and generates reports for management, sales personnel, other internal employees, and suppliers as required.
  • Primary contact point for customers and internal personnel for problem resolution, including identifying problems and quickly resolving issues preventing product delivery.

Job requirements / Candidate profile

  • 5 plus years’ industrial purchasing experience – preferably in chemical industry
  • Detail-oriented person with strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work assignments; flexible in dealing with changing work environment with a positive attitude and a sense of urgency. Ability to multi-task.
  • Computer literate; with excellent working knowledge of Word and Excel software. ChemPax software experience preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
